With Odyssey Knebworth about to celebrate its 25th Anniversary, last month we announced a £400k refurbishment of the club. This extensive upgrade included a complete refit of the cardio equipment to the latest Technogym EXCITE range and we are delighted to confirm that installation is now complete.

The new Technogym EXCITE range will provide members with easy to use controls and improved performance for that perfect and rewarding work out. To help maintain motivation and enjoyment whilst keeping active, the EXCITE range also has an on board entertainment system which allows members to select from 22 TV channels and radio stations on a personal LCD screen. The system is also compatible with iPods and many other audio-visual devices so, members can also watch or listen to their own programmes - It even includes an iPod docking and charging station.

The gym has also seen the introduction of six Cardio Wave machines. The Cardio Wave burns a high number of calories and has a superb toning effect without placing stress on the joints. Having turned the big 50 this year, John Wisdom has decided to do something memorable and for a good cause. On 14th June he and a colleague will be traveling to Chamonix in France where they will attempt to climb Mont Blanc via the Gouter route. At 4808m it is Western Europe’s highest mountain and nearly 4 times the height of Ben Nevis. Not only will this be an enormous personal achievement, John is also raising money for Ataxia UK. We would like to wish John the best of luck and can’t wait to hear how he does. Good Luck.
