SWIMMING LESSONS RULES AND REGULATIONS

PLEASE READ THROUGH THE FOLLOWING AND COMPLETE THE FORM WITH YOUR NAME AND EMAIL ADDRESS.

  1. Swimming Lessons are for a 30 minute duration and run on a twelve week consecutive basis (there may be occasional days where our Instructors are on Annual Leave). These weeks will be added to the end of the course.
  1. An ASA qualified Instructor will teach within the Pool.
  1. The maximum number of Children in their allocated group will be eight.
  1. All payments are to be made in full on completion of the application or re-enrolment form.
  1. When re-enrolling if payment is not received by the specified deadline date then your child’s space may be offered out to someone else on the register your interest list.
  1. No refunds can be offered once the Swimming Course has commenced.
  1. Refunds cannot be given for lessons missed unless one of your child’s lessons is cancelled by Odyssey, in this case the lesson missed will be added onto the end of the course to still complete a full twelve weeks.
  1. Your child will be working towards Swimming Awards based on the ASA standards, the Swimming Instructor will assess them (notice on the assessment date will be given) and if all criteria is passed, certificate and badges will be given out by the last lesson of the course.  Certificates will not be given if the criteria is not met.
  1. Parents MUST supervise Children at all times whilst in the Club, in the Changing Rooms and at Poolside.
  1. Parents are asked not to bring their Children onto Poolside until a few minutes before the lesson commences so not to distract the present lesson taking place.
  1. If you have any other Children that are not attending lessons at Odyssey please can you make sure they do not distract the lesson, play with any of the Swimming equipment and stay seated at all times.
  1. Under no circumstances should Children attending Swimming Lessons be in the Family Swim session prior to their lessons unless pre-booked and paid for at Reception.  If you are attending the Family Swim prior to your child’s lesson they must be in the Pool with their parent (requirement that the parent is a member), they are not allowed into the Pool at the Family Swim session on their own regardless of their Swimming ability.  This is clearly stipulated in the Family Swim Rules and Regulations also.
  1. Children are not permitted to use the Steam/Sauna facilities.
  1. Our licensing laws only permit Children under the age of 18 to be in the bar/lounge are between 12pm and 4pm on a Saturday only.
  1. Please ensure all other Club rules as outlined in your membership are adhered to .
